How to use the User Management feature?

This article will provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to set Role Based Access in vRx.

Note: Before following this guide, make sure to read User and Team Permissions Structure in order to understand the basic concepts of vRx user access module.

Setting up a User management system

1. Under your dashboard's menu, navigate to security -> Settings -> User Management       (only "Owners" will be exposed to this section).

1.1 Invite users to join vRx and determine their role. You can also delete unnecessary users.

Note: When adding users, you can either add them to an existing team, or create a new one.

2. Create teams (If you haven't already done so as a part of step (1).

Navigate to the "Teams" tab -> "Create Team"

Note: "Primary team" appears by default and cannot be deleted.

2.1 Invite new users and/or select existing organizational users for your team.

2.2 Select the relevant asset groups for your team.

Note: in the context of a team, asset groups have an "and" relationship with other asset groups 

Example:

If you assign two asset groups to the same team (Group A and Group B, Team1), Team1 members will only see assets that are both in Group A and Group B.

3. All set! Below is a screenshot of "Bob's Team" which we created, its users and its asset groups.

3.1 This view also enables you to manage the the team's shared asset groups and invite users.

Note: check out the status of the user's invitation to the team. You can cancel the invitation, resend it or delete the user if needed.
