Installing a patch for applications and operating systems can assist you to mitigate CVEs threats.
vRx offers a bundled world-class patch management solution enabling the security \ IT personal with the option to initiate updates for supported applications in a click. To start the applications patching, follow these steps:
Application Patching
- At the left sidebar, select Vulns Remediations -> Patch Management.
- Select the application(s) you wish to patch and at the right bottom, click Update -> Update now:
Tip: Use search and filters to have a better focus the desired application(s) to patch.
- Choose the Asset(s) to receive the patch, date & time for the patch installation and click the bottom right Update button to begin the update.
OS Patching
- At the left sidebar, select Vulns Remediations -> Patch Management.
- At the top left, switch the patching view to OS patches by clicking the OS Updates tab:
- You can either select all available OS updates or specific patch for deployment. To select specific patch, hover over the desired OS and click on it. a patch list will be loaded from the side panel. Select the patches and click Update -> Update Now:
- Choose the Asset(s) to receive the patch, date & time for the patch installation and click the bottom right Update button to begin the update:
